生命科学的研究离不开抗体，选择好的抗体是一件令人头疼的事，虽然每家公司都说自己的抗体最好。而且抗体的容量虽小（0.5~1毫升），价格却很贵（5~10万日元）。
如果买来的抗体不好使，其实就等于花大价钱买了世界上最昂贵的PBS（盐水）。
一家日本公司推出一种试剂，号称“Can Get（我能）”，无论是广告语还是功能都让人联想到国内的壮阳药。用它来稀释抗体进行反应，能显著增强（enhance）检测的信号。价格也是不菲，效果有时很明显，但不稳定。
当然蛋白质印迹（Western Blot）成功与否的关键，不只是抗体的好坏。
